Fourteen units for NC KS3 Computing are now available, the details of which are available by:

All the units contain:

• Six tutorials, covering a number of lessons, and containing several demonstrations with up to 60 slides and sound on each
• Mapping to the new NC KS3 Computing objectives
• Full schemes of work, lesson plans and homework tasks

Each unit is supplied on CD /DVD in two versions:

• Webhost
• SCORM 2004 3rd Edition

There are two sample tutorials for each unit available by following the links below. The link takes you to the menu for the whole unit, so that you can gain an overview of the content of each tutorial. The available tutorials are indicated in the table below. Select the tutorial number from the menu to view its content:

Each unit is accompanied by the following documents, all of which are in Word 97-2003 format:

All the units are supplied on CD/DVD by post. Each unit contains two versions of the necessary files:

1. A webhost version (a folder containing the resource files)
2. A SCORM compliant version (a zipped folder containing the resource files, and SCORM installation/tracking files)

Installation of either version is straightforward:

Webhost

The files are copied to a webhost server, and a link is made to the unit menu page. Adobe Shockwave player is required to run the SWF files used throughout the units.

SCORM

The zipped SCORM folder is 2004 3rd Edition compliant, and can be uploaded to a compatible VLE in the usual way. The packages for all units have been tested for compliance.

To test that this version is compliant with your VLE, a test package can be downloaded and installed from this link below (Right click, Save Target As):

Units can be ordered on a 'pick and mix' basis, so that any combination of units is available. The prices for units are as follows:

• Up to three single units: £50 each (+ VAT)
• More than three units: £40 each (+VAT)
